One of the things I love most about Oklahomans is the love and support we show for one another. When our neighbor needs help with his yard, we’re there with the lawnmower. When our friend needs someone to watch their kids, our doors are open. No matter what, Oklahomans always want to take care of people who are in need. And we should, but when it comes to government assistance programs, we need to make sure we are serving individuals who truly qualify for the programs. Today there’s a problem wi... Read more

  • My Fight Against Executive Overreach
Posted in Mullin' It Over Column on March 4, 2016 | Preview rr

The lawmaking process should be simple: the legislative branch writes the laws, and the executive branch enforces them. But under the Obama administration, the executive branch (which includes most federal agencies) has grown out of control. My team and I wrote and introduced the POWERS Act to keep federal agencies in check. POWERS stands for: Preventing Overreach Within the Executive Rulemaking System. I believe that federal regulations should only be issued when absolutely necessary for the sa... Read more
