It was recently discovered that a suicide hotline operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) sent crisis calls from some veterans to voicemail. This is unacceptable and shameful. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is requesting photos from residents who were impacted by the winter storms that occurred from Dec. 26, 2015, to Jan. 5, 2016. On Feb. 11, 2016, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) denied Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin’s request for individual assistance for victims of the storms.
