Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-2) released the following statement in remembrance of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

“September 11th is a day that will forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of all Americans,” said Mullin.  “The victims of this unspeakable terrorist attack on innocent Americans as well as their loved ones are in my prayers today.

“Seventeen years later, the need to defend our country against terrorism still exists.  Since 2001, 59,691 members of the U.S. military have been killed in action or injured in the line of duty.  These men and women are the real heroes.  They made incomparable sacrifices for a cause bigger than themselves and have truly sacrificed their all.

“Radical acts of terrorism have no place in this world and I will continue to fully support the Americans who courageously defend our country against evil.”
