Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) today voted against Speaker Pelosi’s partisan War Powers Resolution that emboldens Iran and undermines our national security. “Nobody wants war with Iran and President Trump understands President Reagan’s philosophy of peace through strength,” Mullin said. “This resolution ties our Commander-in-Chief’s hands and threatens the safety and security of our service members. Just because Pelosi Democrats don’t like our president, it doesn’t mean they can undermine his constitutional authority to defend our country.” H.Con.Res. 83 passed the House 224-194. Concurrent Resolutions are non-binding and cannot be signed into law. |
