Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) released the following statement after the United States reached a deal with the Taliban that seeks to end the war in Afghanistan.

“We have worked for years training the Afghan military and police forces in the fight against terrorism,” Mullin said. “Now it’s up to the Afghan people to take control of their country and ensure it’s not a safe haven for terrorists. Thank you to all the service men and women and their families who have sacrificed so much in this fight.”
