Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) released the following statement after The Presidential Task Force on Missing and Murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives, also known as Operation Lady Justice, released a report on the first year’s accomplishments and outlined a strategy for the next year. “President Trump is the first president to formally recognize the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women and take action to combat it,” Mullin said. “The first year of Operation Lady Justice has been a productive one and this is a step in the right direction to help prevent our sisters from becoming a statistic. I am proud of the work they have done so far, and I will continue to work with all parties involved to end this epidemic of violence.” The Operation Lady Justice report can be found here. |
