Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) released the following statement after voting against the House Amendment to S. 610, the Sequestration, PAYGO, and Debt Limit Package. “This package does nothing but pave the way for more reckless spending from the Democrats and it is unacceptable that they have chosen funding their socialist wish list over Medicare,” Mullin said. “Republicans have worked in good faith with Democrats to address the upcoming funding cuts to health care providers and we were well on the way to a bipartisan solution. But because Democrats don’t want to face the consequences of their actions, they are trying to rewrite the rules with this package. This is disappointing, but not at all surprising.” |
