Today, Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-2) released the following statement after his bill, H.R. 2883, the Promoting Cross-Border Energy Infrastructure Act, passed the House of Representatives.
“Our energy sector deserves a regulatory process they can rely on, not one that changes with each incoming administration,” Mullin said. “The Promoting Cross-Border Energy Infrastructure Act takes the politics out of energy infrastructure and delivers regulatory certainty and transparency for the construction of energy projects that cross our North American borders.”
“At the end of the day, our priority is to deliver affordable and dependable energy to the American people,” Mullin added. “Alongside my friend across the aisle, Congressman Gene Green of Texas, I am proud to see the Promoting Cross-Border Energy Infrastructure Act pass the House today with bipartisan support, so that we continue on our path forward to improve our energy infrastructure for the American people.”
H.R. 2883 passed the House by a vote of 254 - 175.
